Mona Scott-Young is the owner of Monami Entertainment, and former co-owner and president of Violator Management who represented Missy Elliott, 50 Cent and Busta Rhymes. Scott also professionally managed LL Cool J and Fantasia.. She has been honored several times with awards from The National Association of Black Female Executives in Music Entertainment, Ad Age, and The National Congress and Convention of Haitian Americans. After 18 years of partnership, Scott created Monami Entertainment, a multifaceted entertainment conglomerate which includes a management division (Monami Management), a film and television entity (Monami Productions), an animation house (Vibrant Films), and a digital platform (The Rocbox). The company has been joined by rapper Jim Jones and their roster includes BET Host Toccara and video and film director Dale “Rage” Restighini. Monami Productions teamed with Universal Pictures to produce The Dance, starring 50 Cent and Nicolas Cage.
